We are looking for secondary teachers to help shape the development of free, curriculum-linked Social Model of Disability resources. The aim of the resources is to help young people understand the barriers that other people in the community may face, and inspire them to play their part in helping to remove these.
There are assemblies and lesson content within the social model of disability resources which need reviewing by teachers for relevance to the UK curriculum, engagement and appeal for their students.
Who: Teachers of young people aged 11-14s across the UK; knowledge of PHSE or Health and Wellbeing curriculums would be advantageous.
When: Synopsis review will take place approx. from 1st September, and review of the first draft resources approx. from 22nd September.
Incentive: £50 in total
Time requirement: 2 hours in total. We estimate that the synopsis (outline) will take 30-45 minutes to review, and the typescript (first draft) an hour and a half.
Please register your interest by Wednesday 30th August and forward this on to anyone who may be interested in social model of disability resources for schools and young people!
